By having a greater sense of balance, you are able to move more easily and safely. Also, breathing deeply into muscles helps lessen pain by altering your perception of it. Add some color and fun into your daily yoga practice by involving your friends who would also benefit from practicing yoga.
Yoga helps reduces stress. If you begin to feel more spiritual it's probably because you are more in tune with your body and life than you were before you started doing yoga.
